(Nashville, Tenn. – June 9, 2020) London’s Royal Albert Hall and Nashville Meets London have partnered for a virtual Country music concert event to be held Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 19.30 BST / 1:30 p.m. CDT as part of the venue’s recently launched livestream series, Royal Albert Home. The free viewing event will feature performances by American Southern rock group The Cadillac Three, American country music singer Michael Ray, singer-songwriter from Alberta, Canada, Tenille Townes, and Yorkshire-native, Twinnie.
The show aims to raise funds for the Royal Albert Hall, which is closed for the first time since World War Two. Like all arts venues across the UK, the Hall is in financial crisis as a result of the pandemic. Since closing its doors on 17 March, its online concerts – featuring the likes of Rufus Wainwright, KT Tunstall, Richard Thompson and Ayanna Witter-Johnson – have been streamed more than a million times, inspiring donations totaling over £50,000.
Nashville Meets London is an international entertainment brand providing opportunities and supporting the globalization of Americana and Country music. The brand’s mission is to expand on the cultural and economic exchange of music while driving more synergy between the recording and live performance.
